Cold Wisdom

The one who always says “Trust me” is the man you should not trust.

The one who always says “I am your friend” is not.

The man who always says “I am looking after your best interests” is only looking after his best interests.

The one who always says “I always tell the you truth” is a liar.

The people who are really true do not need to remind you of the fact. They are content to show it by their actions.

The people who must constantly mention it are actually the opposite of what they claim. It is in the same vein as Shakespeare’s quote “The lady protesteth too much.” Why else would they have to mention it so often?
