The Motion of the Yew Tree Rune
The motion of the Yew Tree Rune is the opposite of the Ase Rune. The Yew Tree moves downward and then spreads laterally. It is like a tree with its roots growing downward. This motion has much to do with the Rune’s stability and flexibility. It could not be flexible if it did not have a stable foundation.
The Yew motion has its lateral aspect. However, it also moves down and outward. Think of an upside-down mushroom cloud.
If the Yew could talk, it would say, “I am rooted. I flex, but am unmoved”
