The Pulse of the Elk Rune
The cycle of the Elk Rune is basic and simple. It is like a light bulb that pulses from average output to very bright, then back again. Think of it as a line of force which has a basic, steady rate of light. The line pulses from that steady emission to a much brighter one, at rates from two per second to one per minute or even longer.
Again, the analogy is to a light bulb that emits a good amount of light if it is not pulsing. The pulses are even brighter, lasting just so long before the light returns to its normal strength.
The brighter pulses and the steady light can last the same time. The pulses can also be longer than the steady light, or vice versa. The cycle itself is the pulsing, regardless of duration or frequency.

This is a good time to remember that the cycle of a Rune is not the same as its motion. These cycles are something different.
