A Break
Having written a daily lesson every day for a year, I took a small break. There were things that needed to be reconsidered. Every endeavor needs reassessment from time to time. It is like checking one’s position on a map. There is a need to see if one’s bearings must be adjusted.
Because I am an independent voice within the Heathen community, such things are even more necessary. It is all to easy to play to the crowd. That is something I do not want to do. I am not an entertainer working the audience. My work here is to share my insight and experience for the benefit of fellow Heathens.
I wonder if today is really such an auspicious one for returning to this work. I have not been well today, and have concerns about finances and other issues. Such things are what they are, and they do not diminish my optimism in resuming my daily lessons and anecdotes.
Here is to another good year, then!
