Applied Ice: The Isa Rune in Action
The recent lessons about the Isa Rune may have you wondering if it is purely problematic. Isa is a difficult force, indeed. It can also be useful to you. The right application of the Isa Rune can buy you time, impede or stop an opponent, and put the brakes to a situation. The trick to making it work is a matter of timing.
The Isa Rune’s activity is normally temporary. This Rune’s action rarely results in a permanent change. Like the Ice for which it is named, Isa has an innate instability.
If you tried yesterday’s exercises, you have a better realization of Isa’s tendency to slow or stop action. It takes simple things and makes them difficult. The Rune acts as an obstacle. It is an impediment, a blockage and a damper. Used against an adverse person, action or situation, Isa can retard its activity for a while. Depending on the situation and the Rune’s specific application, it can slow or even halt the opposition. The adversarial situation is frozen, so to speak.
Here is where you must act. This frozen state is temporary. It buys you time to act unopposed. You can use it to counteract the problem. Depending on your own circumstances, you can use the time to erect a permanent obstacle, to counterattack, or to escape. The one thing you cannot afford to do is sit back on your heels. Isa does not end a problem. It freezes it for a while. Isa buys you time so that you can take the appropriate action.
The Isa Rune is a complex force and operating principle. It can be a great help for you when applied wisely. This is but one example of the many applications of Isa.
