Secrets for You
Many people who study the esoteric arts claim to have “secrets.” There are “secrets” of the Runes., “secrets “ of high magick and “secret wisdom” that supposedly gives an individual supernatural power. There are so-called teachers who use the promise of “secrets” to keep their followers in line. Many a book claims to offer “secret knowledge” in hopes such a claim boosts sales.
Magickal schools have their secret rites and such, and individual magicians tend to keep a few techniques to themselves. They may hold back some of their knowledge from students. It really does not matter if they hold back or not. Likewise, a group’s secret rite is of no importance to anyone outside the group.
Secrets held by a person or group are personal secrets. They can be withheld from others. There are greater secrets that make a difference. Nobody can keep them from you when you are ready for them. These are the secrets that really matter. These secrets are not man-made rites or spells. They are the secrets of Life, Wyrd, the Gods and magick. As you grow in wisdom and understanding, these secrets reveal themselves.
Call it enlightenment or insight or wisdom. It can only be gained when you are ready for it. That is when it reveals itself to you. The unfolding of this wisdom is not a big blast of spiritual insight, but a calm and gentle process of unfolding ideas and widening perception.
Whatever secrets men may withhold, the secrets that matter cannot be locked away. Take heart that when you are ready, more of these secrets will reveal themselves to you. They are available for anyone who seeks them and grows to attain the wisdom to appreciate them.
