A Future Vision
Yesterday I promised to reveal some of what I had been shown of a possible future for Heathenism. Please look at it and consider it This can be our legacy if we start thinking about the future NOW.
This was the future shown me during one of my sessions:
The date is between 2199 CE to 2206 CE
There are 15 to 25 Million Heathens in North America. ( I believe it is closer to 25. ) 3 to 5 million are concentrated in an area stretching from San Francisco, California to Anchorage, Alaska, and west to Montana. A major center is located near present-day Olympia, Washington.
There are 2 to 4 million Heathens living between Boston and Baltimore. Major centers are near the Rhode Island / Massachusetts line, south central NJ, and a place just southwest of Philly.
There are 1.5 to 3.5 million Heathens living between the Virginia / North Carolina line south through Georgia to eastern Alabama and Tennessee. A major center will be near Charlotte.
Another belt of Heathens will be found stretching from Chicago-Milwaukee west into Minnesota.
Heathens will also be scattered around the continent.
A major Heathen institution will exist in northern Kentucky. Think of a shield boss with a six-inch triangular spike at the center. Now imagine it turned on its side, with the spire up. That is the approximate shape of the main building and tower.
At a university near or in eastern Nebraska (It either does not exist yet, or is presently too small to be a university) there will be a debate centering on interpretations of various Heathen resources.
The two largest schools of thought in Heathenism will be generically classified as German and Norish, or Norse. Norish will be the term used at that time, based on the colloquial language of their day. These will not be antagonistic factions, but different viewpoints.
Heathen-operated universities will be respected for their scientific education and research. Heathen educational institutions will also run first-rate geological, agricultural, oceanographic and astronomical facilities. One of the Oceanographic institutes will be named for Aegir and Ran.
One of the Heathen-owned hospital systems will be named “Idun-Freyja”. The front wall near the main entrance will be white, probably marble.
Part of the boost in our numbers comes after a discovery which shakes the monotheistic faiths to the core. As a result, many will be looking elsewhere for spirituality. Some will come to Heathenism. This will happen in this century.
This is part of the future shown to me. It can come about if we start thinking about the future now. Whether it comes or not depends on us. If we do not take responsibility for the future, this vision cannot some to fruition. Right here, right now, YOU make a difference in how Heathenism will fare in the future.
This is a fascinating vision and the possibilities of a such a future are exciting. However, do we really want this? I am not all trying to say Heathenism should not expand, but it seems to be that most or all of the world’s problems are problems of scale and population. Maybe it is because of the current size of Heathenism, but I cannot imagine 25 million. It seems surreal. At that size, how could it maintain itself without succumbing to the same problem all things succumb to when they get too big?
Regardless, this is an inspiring post and I feel proud when people ask me / will hear me out when I talk about Heathenism.
