Body Comfort

About a month ago, I looked at a website owned by what has to be the fattest kindred in North America. Granted, I am about 40 pounds overweight, but these people made me look svelte. Imagine if they became the stereotype of Heathenism. People might get the impression that we all are moundy, blimpy, satchel-assed, chair-breaking, barstool bending barrel-bellied behemoths. If that bunch ever hosted a dance, they might get folks thinking the New Madrid fault was launching a set of earthquakes. Every seismograph from Dodge City to Nashville would be reading record activity.

Are you laughing at the description of those fat guys? Shame on you!

There is nothing wrong in being overweight. There is nothing wrong with extra pounds. For many of us, extra pounds come naturally. If you are comfortable in your own skin, then you need do nothing. If you think you need to lose weight, you can do it. There are ways to get your weight down enough to feel more comfortable. Get this: several years ago, Audrey lost 95 pounds and has pretty much kept her weight manageable. She did not use extreme methods. She followed a sensible program and stuck with it. No cheating! You can do it, too, if you choose to lose.

Some folks think they are unattractive unless they have physiques like Barbie and G.I. Joe dolls. That is wrong. For every body type, there are those who find it attractive. Get used to the idea that you are attractive right now, regardless of weight, height, etc. You are not your weight. You body type is not a moral issue. If you do choose to lose weight, do it for reasons other than trying to fit society’s insane standards for what looks “nice”. The idea is to be comfortable with yourself no matter what your size or type.

There was a funny incident after Audrey lost the weight. I used to belong to a model railroad club. After losing weight, she came down to club to get me to go someplace. Some of the fellows had not seen her since she lost the weight. They did not recognize her. They thought I was having an affair.
